The United States Women's National Soccer Team (USWNT) defeated the Republic of Ireland Women's National Team (IREWNT) 4-1 in a friendly match on November 23, 2023. The match was played at Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida, and was the first meeting between the two teams since 2019.
The USWNT took an early lead in the match when Mallory Pugh scored in the 10th minute. Megan Rapinoe doubled the lead in the 25th minute, and Lindsey Horan made it 3-0 in the 35th minute. Ireland pulled one back in the 60th minute when Leanne Kiernan scored, but Alex Morgan restored the USWNT's three-goal lead in the 75th minute.
The win was the USWNT's fourth in a row and extended their unbeaten streak to 11 matches. The team is now preparing for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be held in Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.
